Design & Install

IDNS will always work in a consultative approach with the client when looking at solution designs. For any project IDNS will assign a design team led by the respective IDNS Technical Project Manager. The design team, depending upon the project size, will consist of the Technical PM, a solutions architect (or more than one) and a person from procurement with input from resource scheduling team

Ensuring the design team is led; and co-ordinated, by the respective client facing IDNS Technical Project Manager provides a seamless conduit for flow of information between the client and the design team members. Through client facing meetings the Technical Project Manager will fully understand the true specific requirements from the client; and will be able to translate these requirements into the proposed design. Without the interaction between client and IDNS Technical Project Manager (PM) IDNS have found there is the potential for not fulfilling the client’s actual requirements within the design. This has been observed through not fully understanding the client’s real needs and preferences

IDNS pride ourselves on service delivery, high quality of works and customer care.

To ensure these values are upheld IDNS employ installation teams and have multiple teams of such engineering resource teams for projects across the UK. All engineers are fully trained in associated disciplines to ensure full compliance with all industry and site related requirements to ensure and easy transition onto a client’s premises. For example engineers are UKATA asbestos awareness trained, are IPAF and PASMA trained for working at heights, all are qualified First Aiders, all are ECS / CSCS qualified.

In order for the client to have full visibility of engineers on site all IDNS staff will be wearing IDNS liveried uniform and carry identification badges.

Site safety and security / safe working practices and techniques are maintained through IDNS’ continual training program for staff incorporating topics such as CSCS accreditation, Asbestos awareness, SSSTS, Working at heights, First Aid.

All staff are instructed both verbally and in written format in their expected conduct whilst upon site. IDNS take a very strong view on such conduct and comments received from clients thereupon. On sites where Project Managers are not required a lead engineer is allocated. It is this person’s responsibility to monitor / control site conduct and staff behaviours. Such sites are regularly subjected to spot checks by IDNS Senior Managers to ensure quality of work is maintained and behavioural patterns upheld.

Each engineer is fully “time served” on installation processes whilst being trained and accredited by mainstream manufacturers including; but not limited to:

  • Clevertouch
  • Prowise
  • Promethean
  • Smart
  • Crestron
  • AMX
  • Extron
  • NEC
  • Panasonic
  • Casio

On regular times IDNS provide the engineer with the IDNS installation quality manual and guidelines booklet. This document is a concise manual of how IDNS expect installation works to be completed from “how to cut and terminate a wire” through to how to calibrate a lecture theatre solution. Whilst IDNS has every faith in the quality of the IDNS engineering staff to ensure the high standards IDNS demand are kept, the IDNS Project Manager will continually perform quality spot checks on works to ensure the quality standards are kept.

Any installations will be tested to the site specific sign off procedures. All installations come with and IDNS backed warranty.
